After attending Randolph Community College in Asheboro, Randy Foster transferred to UNC-Greensboro for a BA in Political Science and went on to earn graduate degrees in Theology, Counseling, and Psychology. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
For over 17 years Randy has worked as a Personal Counselor at Sandhills. He confidentially consults with students, faculty, and staff, helping them manage the many demands on their lives. He offers workshops, visits classrooms, and assists with events.
“Sandhills stresses academic excellence,” said Randy, “and provides many services to students, faculty, and staff, encouraging us to achieve our very best. Sandhills also stresses that we are a community of scholars and professionals whose energies are focused on aiding others in the achievement of life goals.”
Randy enjoys reading, especially books and articles on religion and spirituality. He and his wife, Robin have two children and four grandchildren. “We like to travel to new places,” he said, “especially if they are on an island with a great beach. We host a family beach trip each summer.”
