Windows Operating System
“Windows 10 Level 2” will enhance your Windows 10 skills. Discover how to use the Action Center and the all Settings screen, how to customize your Desktop, set up and use virtual desktops, creating folders for basic file management, and how to use File Explorer. A brief introduction to email and the Windows Store will be covered, as well as how to update Windows 10 and keep it safe. Windows 10 Level 1 or prior experience is required before enrolling.
“Windows 10 Level 2” will be held on Mondays and Thursdays, March 12-Apr. 19 from 9-11 a.m. The cost is $75.
Apple Operating System and the iPad
“OS X Sierra Level 2 – Using Apps” will teach you how to make your computer a more productive tool. After a brief review of the use of the operating system and Finder, delve into the use of many applications found on the Apple Macintosh computer.
“OS X Sierra Level 2 – Using Apps” will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, March 12-Apr. 18 from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $75.
In the class, “iPad Level 2,” students will continue studying the Mac apps found in the iPad Operating System. We will review iPad 1 and then receive more detailed lessons on additional iOS productivity apps. iPad 1 or a waiver by the instructor or Lori Degre is required before enrolling. Each student must bring an iPad or iPhone.
“iPad Level 2” will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, March 12-Apr. 18 from 10 a.m.-Noon. The cost is $75.
“Gmail and Google” will teach you how to get more out of Google Searches, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, G+, Hangouts, Maps, and more. A good working knowledge of using the Internet is required to enroll.
“Gmail and Google” will be held on Fridays, March 16-May 11 from 9 a.m.-Noon.
The class, “Photo Editing Using Photoshop Elements 15 Part 2” will bring out the artist in yourself as you learn about editing in Raw, using the Guided and Expert mode in Editor, including different types of layers and blends to correct or combine two or more photos, as well as creating a type mask and montages. Learn to frame photos, create twirl effects, push a photo through text, add texture, and make the photo look like a painting. A flash drive 8GB or larger is recommended. Elements 15 Part 1, or prior experience, and a good working knowledge of computers, using a mouse or pen tablet, file management, and a creative mind is required before enrolling.
