Partnering for Success

situs-squarelogo.pngWhen community colleges work hand-in-hand with local businesses, phenomenal results can occur. Just ask Situs, a multinational real estate company with offices in New York, London, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Copenhagen, and Robbins.

The SCC Management and Business Technologies curriculum program teamed with the Continuing Education customized training program to provide Situs trained individuals needed for continued success and growth. We developed customized training for existing employees and trained potential employees through the curriculum program.

The partnership for the opportunity to work in this global business is facilitated through a summer internship program at Situs, providing Sandhills students with an opportunity to gain experience and allow both students and Situs to determine if they are a good fit for each other. As a result, Situs has hired numerous SCC graduates.

The partnership with Situs is a shining example of how the community college responds to the needs of local businesses by delivering educated and trained people to accomplish the tasks a company needs. This partnership allows the businesses to succeed through qualified employees and helps students find fulfillment in their lives through a meaningful career.
