“This massage therapist, acupuncturist, and Chinese herbalist is all about getting you to “Stress Level Zero” — even if that takes jabbing you with tiny needles.
For the past 12 years, Samantha Allen has been spreading her love for ultimate chill via the Therapeutic Massage program at Sandhills Community College. The Kentucky native scrapped her plans to become a doctor when an illness led her to seek out the meditative powers of Eastern medicine.
“You can get to this place where the things in life are still there, but they’re not weighing on you,” she says. “You can help people learn to put it in a file and keep it in perspective. And honestly, it’s an honor to teach people to help others in the same way.”
In 2015, her class even become the first non-professional therapists to rub down NFL players (which is something we just might volunteer for). Think the program might be a good fit for you? Get more info here.”
