Basic Electronics Offered at Hoke Center in July

Sandhills Community College is pleased to announce that we will be offering at our Hoke Center the Basic Electronics class which is the first of three classes in our Automated Technology Series.  The other classes include Basic Programmable Logic Controls, and Programmable Logic Controls Programming & Troubleshooting.  Basic Electronics will run July 10 through January 29 on Monday and Wednesdays from 6-9 pm.
Upon successful completion, students may qualify for ETA certifications in:

  • Basic AC principles,
  • DC principals and applications,
  • Digital concepts and fundamental electronic applications.

The PLC classes train students to explain how programmable logic control systems operate, understand basic logic operations, create a PLC program, design complex logic operations, master storage function applications, understand and implement the principle of program flow control, carry out analog processing, and solve complex text assignments.

The cost for each of these classes is $185. Continuing Education scholarships may be available. Classes will be at the Hoke Center in Raeford.
Register in the Sandhills Community College Continuing Education office located on the first floor of Van Dusen Hall on the Pinehurst campus at 3395 Airport Road. Registration by phone with a credit card can be made by calling (910) 695-3980. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
